I crawled inside the great beast and found myself mired in a sludge of tarred bile and smoke that filled my lungs with rupturing blisters of red foaming despair that joined an affluent of rasping and gagging fear and isolation. I felt alone within the beast, though I had chosen this as my path for sacrifice. From the great skull of this ancient behemoth, I saw the bright radiance spears of striking amber heat that pierced flesh and seared the delicate pink tissue, once concealed, but now, forever open. The beast now swaggers and sways as it moves among the very corrupted, but then consumes the innocent and weak and equally digests all to shaded green carnage. Despair, terror, the humanity bleached out and replaced with the scarlet flow of those forever lost. A raging, roaring beast that is rode by many, but controlled by none. All to be consumed, over and over again, and then again…..and then forever. So forages this beast of Afghanistan.
